Here is a small selection of some of the more than 1500 little dolls I made from 2008 to 2013. These are in no specific order, and only a small sampling of them. Each one is approximately six inches tall, give or take 1/4 inch. Most of the time, I made little accessories to go with each doll as she was sent to her new home. Sometimes a toy, a book or a bag lunch.
I made the dolls entirely by hand one at a time, using no molds. Hand sculpted of polymer clay, including their hair, faces, shoes and socks. I use no paint except for a light blush for their cheeks. They are jointed at the hips and shoulders with a strong elastic cord. (A very few were also jointed at the knee, but this was not very practical.) I designed and sewed their clothes, and sewed on more tiny snaps than I can count! I also made and sold patterns for all their clothing, so others could sew for the ones they purchased.
